Hello folks, I’m looking seriously at this gun and what it can do with slugs. However, I’ve found very little information about the .177 variant. What kind of speeds can this push 12-15 grain slugs? Does anyone have experience to share? Thank you!

I'm unaware of any 12-15 grain slugs for the .177, where can you pick up such animals?
As for my experience with the Avenger and slugs, I have the .22 and it just didn't have enough oomph for even 22 grain slugs. Best I could get was about 850fps where my goal was 900 fps with the 26 grain slugs. One of these days I'll tear down the entire gun and see if there's a blockage, but for now, just didn't have the power. I'll convert it to a standard pellet shooter and keep looking for my slug gun.

Like you I find that shooting small cal slugs fast to be desirable. I own an avenger in 25cal, and other rifles in the smaller cals and can say from my experience that the Avenger has the best possibility of doing this successfully. At least in lower priced rifles it has the engine and adjustability needed.

I just orderd a .177 Avenger refurb from PA for $199.
I have a DAR Gen 2 in .177 also one will be set up as a heavy projectile shooter and the other will shoot the light to medium stuff.
I have the NSA 15 and 12 grain slugs as well as the JSB Knockouts.
Are there any others out there??
