Air Rifle Wall Rack Build

Another wintertime project completed. I needed easy and quick access to my air rifles as I now have my own air rifle range at my new home. I looked at the commercial wall rack systems and they were too restrictive to rifle placement and too expensive for the board and the hanging brackets. I think this pegboard is a better solution for flexibility and cost.Bill

"crittahitta"Looks really good. So nice and clean. Clutter free. Too much moisture in my basement but someday when i move i am doing that. Thanks for the video.
crittahita my wall rack is actually upstairs in my office/airgun room. I too would be hesitant to store my airguns in the basement even though I have heat ducts to supply heat but it still is cooler down there. Bill

"Uglyjohn"Like it! Please show the kind of hooks you used to support the guns. Uj
UJ I do in the video show the hooks I used to support the rifles. The thing to note the two type of hooks I used in the trigger guard area are not pegboard hooks. These are typical wall hooks to be fastened to the wall with the appropriate method. Since I had a 2x4 stud placed on the side behind the pegboard it allowed me to securely screw the bracket into place. I definitely wanted and needed something solid in that area to support the rifle and the use of a velcro strap if used provides extra insurance. To support most of the barrels or air tubes in the front are pegboard hooks were adequate. Bill

"tibor"nice ...good job
like to see the indoor range ..length..etc
tibor I do shoot in my basement but have not really put together a range as of yet. I have up to 48 feet distance to shoot but usually shoot from 10 yards away with my air pistols. The target trap you see on the workbench was there because I was using the chrono to get some pellet velocities. The trap has one layer of duct seal and a 1/4" steel plate behind it. Bill
