Air rifle gauges

Not quite sure how to start. Let’s see…ok. To my knowledge air gun gages would be the last line of defense against reservoir or tank failure similar to a burst disc. I thought all gun gauges were designed this way. Is this correct? Or wishful thinking? Lol

Whats a gages? Do you mean gauges on the guns? They do not work as burst disc found on tanks and compressor. Tanks and compressor use brust disc so if they ever get fill over their max capacity, the burst disc will blow letting air out, so the tank or compressor don't go kaboom.

The gauges on airgun are not burst disc. If overfill your gun it can go kaboooooom. The gauges is only use to let us know what pressure is inside our gun.

Lol and sometimes the only read "approximately" what the pressure is.

I have heard they are good. Not sure if they are the best. I got my head spinning at the dive shop where I get my buddy bottle filled. The gauges he had started at 150 and went to over 500. The expensive ones accurate to +-2 psi.

My guns currently have ninja gauges in them. I am not sure it they are accurate. I have a hand pump and when it reads 3000 psi, my gun bottle gauge reads over pressure. I also have a umarex readyair compressor and it has a digital readout. When filling I have set it to 3000 psi, and my gun still reads high. 

It there a better (accurate) replacement out there? I would like to replace on my airgun with a 3000 psi fill, and my airgun with a 4500 psi fill.
