I installed the lane regulator in mine last year. Yes I thought it was a daunting task, at first. Really it's not as bad as you think. The biggest thing I had issues with was the o-ring clipping the edge of the holes in the cylinder. Once I figured out my mistake, which was going to fast pushing the valve out, it was smooth sailing. Just be patient with the process of removal and installation.

Oh and I forgot to mention. It is better to just do it yourself that way you learn how the parts are disassembled so you will know what to do in the future when the o-rings need to be replaced without having to spend a bunch of money and time away from the rifle if you send it off to someone else. It really is not as difficult as you may think. Just my 2 cents. Hope this helps
