Bubble wrap, double box, insure for full value and Pray!

Good advice stated above. I have not removed the stock before shipping. I usually retain some of the original foam and boxes some guns were shipped in. To ship them for repairs I mail them in boxes they came in or use one of a similar size and place that box in a slightly larger box. I make sure there’s enough packing material (bubble wrap and packing paper) to fill all gaps to prevent a lot of shifting within the boxes in transit. Purchasing insurance provides a little more peace of mind. So far I haven’t had any issues doing it this way.

Purchase a 20.00 plastic hard case, wrap the actions and box. Better than double box and less likely to attract attention.

Great idea, but be sure to save the carboard box the case came in, need to hide that gun case or your defeating your purpose!! If you dont have a stock, be sure you protect that trigger as you have no trigger gard now..

Get some carpet padding and cardboard. Don't. think a gun doesn't move around in a hard case. They do. I don't trust bubble wrap. It's better than nothing. The worst thing is packing peanuts.I've received guns packed all different ways. Nobody packs as well as me. When I sell stuff on eBag buyers comment on my packing skills.

Look in the cardboard recycle bin behind a store. You can find good clean material there. You can ask inside the store too. I've had to ship various machine parts that are heavy and can not get damaged. Some guns too. but I rarely sell any and don't ship out for anybody to work on.
