My Walther CP 88 Air pistol has been leaking the whole CO2 cartridge right after putting it in. I’m unsure what’s wrong with it or if any piece is broken. It does look like the metal piece right under the seal is chipped off, but I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be that way. I did try wrapping the cartridge around with teflon tape, and using Vaseline but neither worked. Would love to get answers from sim

If it's a new gun you may be able to return it.
You could look at an exploded view of the gun if available. Maybe you could tel, if that piece is chipped.

Only one I had leak was my s200, none of the others have apart from a niggle I had on the wife's gx40 where the inlet valve was sticking, not a seal as such but dirt. I don't care about warranty either if I buy a new pcp and it leaks, I just strip em down. Same with springers, I strip em down as soon as I get them home. Don't trust numpties in factories who don't care.
