Air from back of shroud? Taipan veteran

Should air be coming out the back of the shroud? I felt it on my grip hand while shooting and did the tissue test and there was a decent gust.

going to sound odd , but , is the shroud screwed all the way in?

And, is it modified in any way, like small holes drilled at the rear of the shroud?

Gun is 100% stock. The shroud is held on by a grub screw. No holes on rear. Im guessing its supposed to release air backwards.
