Air Force Texan 457 Carbine trigger

I shot AF Texan 45 Carbine yesterday.
Are all AF triggers as bad as what I experienced? Without a doubt the absolute worst trigger I have felt on an airgun. Even an out of the Box Notos was considerably better.
If this was not an anomaly, is there an aftermarket fix for it?
Not too sure I even went to consider one if that made it past QC before shipping.

Truthfully my Texan 50 trigger sucked too. You can't put any aftermarket triggers or springs in them without voiding warranty!!!! Sucks I know.. The auto safety is the worst... Two stages are creep.................bang boom....
This one the trigger had at least three stages, none of which felt anywhere near smooth or predictable. So with the bad press here about inconsistent barrel quality and the triggers AF has been eliminated as a possible choice. I have no desire to get into warranty process right off the bat nor would I desire to go through some of the process that others here have done to get the barrel correct.
Too bad because of the big bores I have played with, the AF carbine felt the best in my hand.

Its taken me 3 years to get my CF Texan 50 consistently accurate. Just today I managed to shoot decent ten shot group at 125 yards in normal winds. I had to aggressively hand lap my barrel with multiple lead laps.....I made a stock that attached to rail with clamps......take recoil...using BOG tripod......heavy .250 thick CF tube making barrel full 1.0 inch....barrel threaded....everything in tension...it was real hard to get here..

Old thread but the auto-safety is the worst! i dont find the trigger terrible for the rifles intended purpose though

@RM.510bigbore I just lapped my barrel last night, I did a total of 80 strokes (in 4 stages, 20 for beginning of bore, 20 for beginning to middle, 20 for beginning to 3/4 of the way and 20 the full length) with non embedding compound and fp10 combo, then did 40 strokes full length of the barrel with jb bore brite and fp10... seems to have really polished it up.

You obviosly have not shot many, Hatsan, Evanix, Benjamin or anything of the sort. It is actually a great hunting/battle trigger.
