Hatsan Air fill probe mod?

They fall out becasue the probe orings get wrecked going in...iv had to keep replacing them because they get peeled when goin into the port...they are factory orings for my Hatsan NeutronStar..
A little silicone lube on them helps keep them "poofed up" plus the probe will slide in/out easier without trashing the o rings.

FYI.. A little tip I picked up recently.
For those of you who like to leave the probe in the gun as I do, a common tire valve cap fit on the foster fill end of a probe. It kinda snaps on to keep dust and debris out. There are dust caps available online but these are cheap in a pinch. Most of us have a few laying around our shops.
For those of you that like a little more spice in your life... try a 9mm shell casing with a small magnet glued in it.

Update 4/30/25

So far so good! this has been working great. No leaks, No blow outs, and just keeps on working as it should have been designed. Iv pressurized the block to 300Bar and it holds just fine. Once i get my Bridgeport mill wired up in the garage, I will be making replacement blocks that are machined properly and cleanly.

Sorry you had to learn the hard way! THAT'S exactly why I never ever screw with the integrity of the Original air supply. The pressures we deal with are no joke! Really glad no one got hurt.
100% agree with you, but im the kinda guy that will push the button that says don't push this button...lol...plus no one makes a replacement for it. So if i can make it better and more reliable, then why not try...I get the risks, im willing to accept them for the science and for those that want an alternative to using the probe....
