Air Cooled Compressor Help

Hello everyone,

I have a local friend that is considering getting into PCP rifles and I have given him a basic list of items needed to get started. He wants an air cooled air compressor that will be used to fill the rifle direct, most likely a 480cc cylinder. My compressor is water cooled and I do not have any experience with air cooled so I am looking for help from the Forum members. If you own and have first hand experience, both good and bad, with a specific brand and model I would appreciate your advice and help.

The unit that I purchased is the Spritech Compressor, available on Amazon for $276. My experience has been very positive for the year that I have owned it. I direct fill my rifles about once every other day, and it has worked very well for me. I also purchased the 4-year extended warranty for an extra $45. Here is the link:

T,
Let your friend know that Biohazardman was very clear when stating expecting more than 20 hours, or so, from an oil-less, water-less compressor was not realistic. From what I've seen on this forum, I think it's a fair assessment. Better your friend should know this up front rather than a year and a half to two years from now asking why nobody warned him. WM
