How do I repair this or is it feasable to stop the air . This is on an Omega 100 cuft tank . It was sitting in my shed for a year.

No need to apologize as far as I am concerned. I have never owned a valve assembly like that so I have no advice from experience for you. The odds are pretty good that someone should be able to help.

An educated guess here. Those look like the safety vent for if you put in the wrong connector. Unscrew the red connector and check that the o-ring in the end is intact and in good condition. It should seal off the vents.

Those are vent holes. Either you are missing the O ring in the male DIN connector or it may be dried out and cracked, causing air to escape. It also possible there is a scratch on sealing face or in the O ring groove. I’m going to take a picture of a male DIN fitting in a minute and post it. Stand by.

There might be another possibility. Your tank valve exists in two different configurations, basically a low pressure and a high pressure. In the scuba business we referred to them as 5 thread and 7 thread. 5 thread was low pressure and 7 thread was high pressure. If you try to screw a 5 thread male into a 7 thread female it WILL NOT seal. For SCBA’s (4500psi) it should be a 7 thread tank valve.
I can’t tell for sure in your photo because of the view. One way of telling, once a good O ring is installed is that as the connection is tightened down, at the last half turn or so you should feel a cushioning effect as the O ring contacts the valves mating surface and then the O ring will start to squeeze and seal.

Also, we used to see “mud daubers” make a home in DIN valves when they were stored for long periods in garages and sheds. Check for mud in the valve. Be careful not to scratch the O ring sealing face with a dental pick or tool you might be using.
Edit: Looking again at your valve photo, it appears to be a 7 thread, also referred to as a 300 BAR ((4500psi). I’ve not seen that type of valve in the scuba industry because it has a purge button on it. I’m guessing it was developed for paintball and airgun use.

Bingo ! I just went out to check and it is missing an oring . Where can I get a replacement for this ? I figure to buy a few spares .

Any dive shop or a hydraulics supply place. There are a couple different sizes so take your fitting with you. Lowe’s or Home Depot or Menards may well have them too.

The O ring needs to sit a little above the face of your fitting. And it should go in with a little effort so it stays in when assembling/disassembling the male and female.
