I need to make a spring gun compressor rig. I don’t know how to change a side lever breech seal but will learn.
I’ve changed break barrel breech seals. Some are easy drop in, a few older ones were unobtainable & I had to fill the deep cavity with epoxy then use depth gauge and set up for a standard R series breech seal. One in particular was a pain. My old John Thomas tuned El Gamo 300. Tolerance is very close. Too high, chewed up. Too low, loss of power & not good for the internals at all. Akin to shooting it with too light of a pellet. Very tedious to be optimized depending on Durometer of seal.
I would hope I never run into a sidelever that I have to adjust in thousandths to get right.
My question is are TX200’s known for chewing up breech seals? I’ve owned 4 or 5 but my left eye/right hand dominate configuration makes my search for a simple utilitarian species of wood lefty stock right side loading port an ongoing search. I loved the TX’s but not ideal for me. Add that I prefer fine open sights as a option on all guns, & it’s a rare bird I seek.
Air Arms: Would ya ever consider making a ambidextrous adjustable cheek piece as an option, and some fine open sights? TX’s, Pro Sports are loved. They might sell very well.
Oh yeah, please make your semi recoiless model again but design it with the best of yours and RWS 54 engineering.
