Some more fun with the 18 grain Field Heavy pellets. 


Trying out some more power with the .22 Gladius Short. 


Shot some at power settings 5 and 6. Just curious if groups would shrink. Bad news was they didn’t get smaller but shot just as well as a lower power so nothing to lose but shot count by cranking up the power with these pellets. 


Speed wasn’t as high as some said I should get but it is achieving the spec foot pounds as advertised for this fun.

There are several guns I own that actually prefer the 15.9/16gr over the 18.1gr for accuracy.

You should also try the 21.14gr H&N Baracuda or Baracuda Match. The pointed ones.

So the first groups that were posted were shot on 4? That's why it seemed weak - I have the long in 25 and just keep it cranked up to 6 - I could understand dropping a 22 or 177 down for backyard, quiet shooting; not something I do with 25. The results show consistent performance and with experimentation you should be able to find an accurate pellet.

He probably has a 100+ back yard thats why he went with a 25 caliber.
