Good morning, I tried 45g Zan slugs on my Vulcan 3 500 .30, but I got terrible results. However, with the JSB Diablo Exact 44g it was exceptional. I don't understand why the slugs aren't accurate on this air rifle.

They are, you just gotta find the right slugs. This platform likes to be pushed when it comes to shooting slugs. Mine liked shooting hybrids at 921fps

ZAN's .30 slug assortment box was the answer for finding the most accurate slug for my V3 (700mm). Contains six different weights from 44.5 to 68, in quantities that allow plenty of testing. With factory settings the V3 preferred 59 grains. Very interesting watching groups tighten up moving thru the selection. WM

In .30 caliber, you bought a pellet gun. If you wanted a slug gun in .30, you should have bought a Vulcan 700mm. Slugs in .30 are heavy. Ones that shoot great in AGT .30 guns are even heavier. Doesn’t matter how powerful a Vulcan is. You need barrel length so the slugs leave the barrel happy. Not gonna happen with a 500mm.

I'm pretty sure all the AGT guns in .30 use the CZ barrels. I have one on my Uragan 2 and had the same problems. You should look into Air velocity sport ammo. My barrel likes the .3063 slugs. I dont think having a 500mm barrel is going to make a ton of difference, your just not going to get quite as much of a shot count whan you rurn up your regulator. For me they like 930fps, but did ok a little slower as well. Best of luck!
