AGT Uragan

I don’t know why am so infatuated with this gun. I have many nice pcp rifles, but I really want this one. Might have to sell a couple of them to finance it.

What are the pros and cons of the rifle? How is the accuracy of it at 100 yards compared to my Crown?

I have heard about regulator issues, but I’ve upgraded rifles with them, so that’s not a deal breaker.

Love my .22 Uragan. Got mine from Charlie @ Georgia Airguns and from day 1 it was a tack driver. JSB 18s at 910fps were half inch groups at 56 yards. After I put in a Huma reg, I turned it up to about 45fpe and with JSB Monster RDs I'm getting half inch groups reliably at 56yards with a some under that. Never had a Crown so I can't compare the two.

I've heard about the regulator issues however mine was fantastic. No creep and single digit SDs over a 10 shot string. I did pull it out for a Huma reg for a bit more power but I wouldn't hesitate to put the factory one back in for lower power work.

I would like to see an owners manual online and read about a little bit but I can’t find one. What kind of adjustments are there for the power? I don’t see any on the gun. I’m kind of spoiled with the dual gauges from the crown.

I'm not 100% sure where you can find a manual online but the only adjustment easily available is hammer spring tension (which you have to take the stock off to get to). You can adjust the factory reg and, if I remember correctly, a member here posted about how to do that. In my opinion it's a set-and-forget type of rifle. It does not have a bunch of adjustments like the Crown and it's design is more about overall robustness (which I think it accomplishes very well).

I am an FX bigot, but I recommend AGT when people ask about what to buy...

I have owned and had access too 6 or 8 Vulcans/Uragans and one had a wonky shroud that was replaced while one had some seized grub screws, all of them shot lights out after mild barrel polishing.

My workhorse.22 Vulcan needed an oring in the reg after about 25000 rounds, the new owner still calls me to talk about the accuracy.

The Uragan is a very good gun indeed.

I have a .30 cal that my wife will be selling.....sometime after my funeral!

I got mine and after about a month it started showing signs of regulator creep. So shot off an email to E.P. the owner of AGN Technologies and he sends me a new regulator, free of charge. I go to replace the reg and without pressure on the valve seat...it won't seal...so next email to EP and here comes a free valve seat...meanwhile I have ordered one from Talon Tunes for 25 bucks, and Tony sends me the wrong one.

Oh well, my new valve arrives from CZ Republic and yahoo it works!

Gun holds air, no more creep, sits for weeks and first shot is same as all follow up shots. accurate at 100 yds. Sub-moa. Smooth action, well built and a joy to shoot. I will be buying a .25 and .22 before my funeral..god willing, so be looking for my wife to be selling those as well! Up to her but she could use them as Man bait for shopping for a new hubby...😆

In summary, Great Guns! Love the cz barrels! All we need now is a repair representative/facility here in the USA and this will be a golden line of guns!

What's the deal with the Uragan needing a riser mount? Is there any MOA built into the factory rail?

I assume it's more related to ergonomics? Helps get the scope up for a more comfortable sight picture. Unless you're reaching way way out there, I don't think you really need a 20 MOA rail (with my .22 at 45fpe it's only 3.6mil to 100yd).

In my experience with a SWFA 3-15 in Vortex low mounts, I have no problem getting a comfortable sight picture by just adjusting the buttpad. Different people are built differently though.
