Hi everyone, you read that right! Steve and I are doing a little Share n' Compare of the AirMaks Katran Compact bottle gun vs Compact tube gun... and then we'll be hosting an RDW event where 1 lucky person will win a killer package from Utah Airguns, AirMaks Arms, Hawke Optics, Sportsmatch mounts, JSB, H&N, Patchworm, and DonnyFL!!

The Katran C (compact tube) and the Katran CB (compact bottle) both measure in at 30.5'' without a moderator. The most obvious difference is the tube gun holds 165cc's of air, while the bottle gun holds 300cc's of air.

Steve has been busy as a bee doing shot charts with various weight pellets. I've only had the opportunity to chrony the 15.9g pellets, but I just received some 14.3g pellets to try as well.

My Katran C came to me tuned at 20 FPE, while Steve's Katran CB came tuned at 24-25 FPE. Make note how I was able to get 48 shots out of 165cc tube, while Steve got 43-45 shots out of 300cc bottle. Just goes to show how much more air is needed to push pellets just 5 FPE more!

I've done a bit of accuracy testing and I plan to do more.

AEAC's vlog should come out soon followed by some accuracy testing as well.

To make a long story short (like the Katran Compact's) these are lightweight, well-built, thoughtfully designed, compact PCP airguns!

What do you think?
