HW/Weihrauch Again

For the last month or so I’ve been trying to find a custom stock for a few of my rifles.
They can’t be shipped over our border, unfortunately, I’ve tried from Custom Stock in the UK. And a few others.
You guys bring to my attention the 50 blue lam. Well I put coin down on a 75 year HW50 .177 cal. Basically for the stock and I’ll give it a different spring from the others. Couldn’t resist any longer. I like the 50’s.
This is pretty well the end of my purchasing rifles. Oh I also ordered another 30 with the Walnut stock .20 cal. Another nice stock. Also my guns don’t like to travel alone. Shipping is ridiculous so I send 2 at a time to chisel price down a little.
Only guns that would interest me are old Beeman’s or the infamous LGU and LGV. Otherwise I’m done.……. Hopefully.
Will still look for custom stocks.
Also going to thin out a few rifles. The vicious circle.

What dealer did you go through for these? I want to pick up some more HW rifles and curious what dealer you'd recommend.

I love you Dave. You buy not one but two ridiculously expensive limited edition guns to save a few bucks on shipping. :D
Thanks Ron.
I just worked my butt of for the last month. Did a massive job. Probably saved $25,000. I earned it, is the way I see it. And the Queen didn’t mind. Like I said, I’m thinking this is it.
‘Want to spend more time changing springs and shooting.

Custom stocks are available in the UK. I bought one for my TX200. These folks do good work.

Oh, I know. I tried buying 4. Back when the Euro and Pound were low. They turned me down. Love their stocks. Reasonable.

I got these at AoA. In your back yard. I’m in Canada, so a little more work to get here. AOA has the best selection of Weihrauch’s in North America. IMO.

I've been wondering when crowski would slow down. I remember a post by him from the recent past that went something like "Bought 20 Weihrauchs this month alone." :)

Personally, I've satisfied almost all of my airgun wants, piece by piece. What guns are left, are all out of production, and I haven't seen even one of 'em, in the caliber I want, close enough to me, for years and years.

What remains a large and enjoyable task is making each of my springers shoot the best they can, and keeping 'em that way.

That's not an easy task. With 12 Weihrauch rifles and I'm constantly having to tinker with something to keep them up and running right. At least the ones I shot a lot

"I can't think of anything worth doing that was easy", said one of my heroes. :)

Keeping to one make (always the same trigger etc. for the HW's), things are deffo easier than when you have app. ten different makes in your spring gun rack.
True and true. After a while you learn what's, what with one brand. The ones I use the most, I know the best.

I've noticed AoA have the best selection, just wish their shipping was a little more prompt, but I get they are probably swamped!
My second last order from them took exactly 6 months to get. Crow
I’d really like to get my hands on one more Beeman. An RX2 in .22 caliber. Other than that I’m with you, no more buying air guns for the foreseeable future. My collection. Is big enough and most are being neglected and not being shot.
Ya I’m done. But I shoot all rifles. Soon I‘ll be shooting daily and give them a workout. Crow

The 20 were my best deal. I didn’t buy those. I got them in one of my best trades.
For 35 years I owned a sport store. Collected anything for value from professoral athletes with I knew would be valuable. With a nickname like crow. I was good at collecting. Didn’t care about any of it, just the value. Last 6 months I got rid of the last of those collectables for 9 more rifles. Love bartering.
The sports memorabilia is all gone now, good riddance. I’ve transformed them into guns.
I’ve had a game plan for the last few years with airguns, and it worked. All except the availability of stocks.
I’m now going to start changing parts. I have app. 30 springs sets to install as well Vortek piston seals for all. Keeps me very busy. My wife never complains. ”She’s saving the marriage”
Unfortunately I don’t have near the experience as many of you. But learning. Love the challenge. Crow

So true. Probably why I’m worn out.
I have springs for Weihrauchs, Air Arms, Diana, FWB and Walthers and for pistols. Got my work cut out.
Never worked on a trigger. When I see the triggers in the FWB’s and Walthers, I faint.
Learning tricks of the trade makes it so much easier.
I would never have what I do if it wasn’t for this forum.

You have been a wealth of knowledge for me on Weihrauch’s. Can’t thank you enough. Crow
