Aftermarket sling studs , wood stocks...

So I have installed pic rails with tnuts etc into wood stocks, I am getting my first rifle on wednesday that I am interested in putting a sling on. It is a smaller bullpup and would like to fit a sling to it. Has anyone here documented or have any photos of which studs theyve used? sling mounts? etc?

This is a new area to me and theres tons of different mounts etc out there but would like to hear feedback from you guys.

Sorry, I don’t still have the gun but I’ve used just the standard run of the mill sling studs you’ve probably installed before.
The problem I ran into was the sling was too long. The fix was, I determined what length was ideal then I sewed by hand (I don’t have a sewing machine) the excess back to sling. I used it for awhile to make sure I was happy with the length, then took it to a shoe repair business and had them shorten it so it looked “clean”.
Be sure to allow for a little bit of lengthening in case you will be using it while wearing a sweatshirt, jacket, coat etc.

Theyre nice because theyre flush so when you dont have a sling theirs no nub to hang up on anything. Simple install of drill tap and jb weld in place for good measure.

What about a single point sling since it's a bullpup? I use one on my Bobcat & it works great.

Never thought about that! For whatever reason, probably because slings are "new" to me, I just forgot those were a thing.

Any pics ? they don't attach the same way?

If you have a picatinny scope rail then magpul makes a bolt on loop that works good for a single point sling mount. Mount it toward the rear of the scope rail so the gun hangs muzzle down better. I have made my own slings before and it is super easy. If you can use a sewing machine then you can save tons of money over store bought slings. You can fit them to your body without extra webbing hanging off. I make mine adjustable so I can snug it up for walking and loosen for shooting without taking it off. No excess webbing or tag ends hanging off. Plastic hardware so no scratches on my gun's finish.

This is my FX Wildcat .22.
It’s a Magpul MG502. I have it placed so the rifle hangs pretty much level when no handed. When walking in woods I generally have a hand on it so I can ensure the muzzle doesn’t get bumped on anything. Theres a sleeve that slides down over the clasp to prevent it from scratching the scope.

Before I bought the Magpul Rail Sling Attachment I used two loops of para cord through the slots on my Wildcat and clipped on to the loops. It was nice because it did not scratch the anodized finish. Over time thoughit would probably polish it down. The Magpul Attachment works perfectly and is easy to move fore and aft for desired balance.

Funny you mention that, I was thinking about possibly drilling a hole in the rear of the stock to run paracord through and figure 8 knot it on the other side for that mounting point.
