Well folks, I've dove in both feet. Old shooter here loving the PCP scene and after owning my first rifle, already ordered another ( airforce Talon) and looking at another. Lol. Only 1 week in.

Retired and shooting roughly 100 rounds per day , had to succumb and go with a compressor as the hand pump stayed hot and the wife kept commenting about the swelled biceps.

Problem is I may have taken another baby step and purchased a GX off Amazon......no auto shut off. Is that really a big deal ?

No it's not a big deal. You are filling your gun, it will be done in under a minute so you won't be leaving for a quick walk around the house.

Is the GX that quick? I had a Nomad 2 and a Spark and they both took upwards of 5 minutes to fill my Dreamline or Marauder. Ended up replacing them with a Yong Heng which fills them in like 45 seconds.

Just tell her she looks good with the big arms. Its the 'in thing' and she needs to stay fit!

compressors are the way to go. Considering how much we spend on guns, and new compressors coming on the market at lower price points, a compressor seems a must for PCP use. I have MD, so for me a hand pump is out of the question. Compressor just keeps me shooting.

It took me over a year lol.

I have a GX and it will top-off my 182CC Air Arms from 100 to 250 bars in just over 2 minutes. That's including like 15 seconds no-work run time pre and post.

You should incorpotate some serious moisture trap/filtration!

Even though a fill takes less than 2min does not warrant that moisture is kept out of your airgun.



Moisture is your enemy and a good desiccant filter is your friend. Oh and change/recharge often.
