Sorry Roachcreek, I don't own both stocks so I can't answer your specific question but can provide feedback on the RAI. I do own a couple RAI Prod stocks and am reasonably happy with their function. I do wish the RAI had a bit more vertical drop to achieve a more comfortable cheek weld and shoulder fit. And the butt plate does wobbles a bit. The wobble can be tightened up with a thin paper or cardboard shim. The RAI also requires the AR tube wrench to tighten, which in my opinion is a PIA but is only need once (if you don't regularly change your FPE tune).
As for Tim Hill....I have purchase may items from him and can say his stuff is really top shelf. It is simple to order from his site and his stuff just plain works like he says. The price for his stock and what appears to be limited vertical drop stopped me from purchasing his Prod stock.
Next time I'm getting Tim's stock. Hope this helps you.
