After 2hrs finally got one

Went out to the usual spot, trying to get bunnies before the 29th. Saw about 5 healthy ones n about 10 lil ones, they didn't stick around for long, they scared easily. Lots of squirrels, they were active since the weather was nice sunny n 60's. Had my range finder, only to find out battery dumped on me. Finally after 2hrs of walking , I nailed this guy at about 20yrds DRT on the spot. The .22 CPHP ripped through his neck doing major damage. All in all it was a great day to get out, get my exercise. Squirrels 3 to 1, hopefully even the score next outing..

I soooo dislike GSs... Used to "work" at a paintball field knocking down their numbers .. used a 22lr... Thinking a quiet air gun could have scored a few more.

I have the 2010 "perfect storm" of ground squirrels to blame/thank for my airgun obsession! All I wanted was some dead squirrels and now I have an airgun collection! Of course, there aren't too many squirrels around............

Glad you scored. Even on the rare days I get skunked (zero kills) I'm glad to be out in the field with my airguns. There's just something incredibly calming about it. I'm in a WAAAAAY different frame of mind than if I spent that same time sitting at home. I never let a "skunked" day make me feel as though it was time wasted. Hope you felt that shot was rewarding (for you, not the GS )
