This video is for people new to PCP shooting or who may be interested in getting into shooting PCP's. You will learn the basics of how PCP air guns get filled, the equipment involved and where to buy it, and a Quick Start Guide to the $235 Yong Heng PCP Compressor. Links to buy everything in the video will be in the description as well as links to reviews of all my favorite Affordable PCP rifles. Thanks for watching! -Nate

I wish I had seen this video when I was researching the world of PCP air guns. One thing I don't agree with is shutting the compressor off without bleeding pressure off first. My manual recommends a bleed off before shut down. That is why I didn't buy one with the automatic shut off. Although if you are going to take a knap while your air tank is being filled it could be helpful. But then again it is recommended that you bleed the moisture off every five minutes so maybe a guy should stay awake and nearby.JMO

While the combination shown in the video has some serious advantages, the dead cheapest way to get started in PCP's is to purchase:

Benjamin Maximus from Crosman.com using the 25% AGNATION discount code. Order in Friday for free shipping (if they are still doing that). $165

Reason for Maximus is a 2000 PSI fill and it's probably the least expensive, good quality PCP out there. Forget the Wildfire, just forget it. That means the pumping is easy. Hand pumping up to 3000 PSI is difficult but 2000 is fairly easy. If you buy a .177, it's about 30 shots per fill.

Manual pump off eBay for about $50

Safety Glasses, ear muffs, $20

Pellets $15

So, for $250, you are off and running.

That's the bottom end, so much better equipment out there, but for $250, it makes PCP's very affordable.

I didn't purchase the auto shutoff version but that's what they sent me. I leave the shutoff set at 310bar but the pump starts stuttering before shutting off otherwise. I use an Alpha filter from Joe B so when the tank is filled I shut the tank valve and open the drain on the Alpha to blow all the water out of it and then shut the pump off.
