Affects of a broken piston spring

So, what would you suppose would happen to your POI, shooting off hand, if the spring in your break barrel spring piston gun breaks? This is from my Diana 34 with Vortek PG2 kit.

Owner ( remember Gamo ammo ) said it shot well, put a JM kit in it and gave him some good pellets.

I have seen a D34 vortek spring just like yours, as was the symptom with the 54 and 34 first lower power then wouldn't cock, THEN they want to stop by. Airgun friends are the best. I really enjoyed making certain both were shooting well before admitting they were fixed just in time for squirrel season.

Warranty?

The JM kit's have e rep of 10,000's of shots.

I've had this kit in this gun since October of last year. Shot over 10,000 pellets with it. Warranty is 3 months. At first, I noticed reduced velocity but POI was high. Kept having to adjust down on the scope. Today, I noticed even lower velocity and had to adjust down again, then it became difficult to cock so I took it apart and found the spring broken in two places. Probably broke one place at first and again today. I shoot almost exclusively off hand which is why it was shooting high with reduced velocity. With broken spring, the forward momentum of the piston when it stops is reduced so less downward force on the gun. With a spring gun, you adjust the scope for either off hand shooting or shooting from a rest. Won't be the same for both because of the forward "recoil". Didn't get why it was shooting high at first, but then it came to me. New spring kit on order.
