AEROMAGNUM RE-LAUNCH UPDATE/BALLISTIC COEFFICIENT

Aeromagnum Aeromunition, LLC Re-Launch Update/Ballistic Coefficient Numbers:

Hello Big-bore Airgunners,

Hope you are all doing great!

Just wanted to let you know, we quite often receive inquiries from Big-bore Airgunners about the Ballistic Coefficient (BC) for one our various design offerings...and rightfully so.

Knowing the BC of a projectile, can certainly assist you in becoming a more proficient Big-bore Airgun Hunter and/or a more skilled Bench Rest Competitor, possibly sooner than later.

DOING OUR PART:
(Also, a rare opportunity to get outdoors, and send some lead down-range).

Due to the amount of interest/inquiries about the particular BC of our projectiles, and the fact that BC numbers are not as readily available, for what seems to be the over-all preferred type used among Big-bore Airgunners...Hollow-Points.

&

Being that 99% of our projectiles are in fact HP's, we will over-time, be providing an actual visual demonstration of what BC number you can expect, for each Aeromagnum offering, as well as why we are able to maintain a high BC with our HP designs, without sacrificing expansion percentages.

These BC tests will be performed by way of an outdoor video demonstration, high lighting the processes used by others involved with ballistics, in order to calculate the BC numbers, without the use of very high cost equipment.

Rest assured, we will certainly try and make it an educational, interesting and enjoyable watch. Actually, Big-bore Airgun Hunter, Eric Henderson, from the 'Adventures Afield' YouTube channel, will be participating, providing his expert in-put, shooting and producing the video for us.

By the way, a large number of these tests, will be performed using the AirForce Texan, calibers .257 thru .45. But, will include other effective big-bore airguns as well.

Our hope is that these efforts will assist in providing you with a more keen understanding about the BC numbers, and what they mean to you.

For now, here's a YouTube video link, providing a brief explanation about BC:

There's many other videos covering the subject of ballistic coefficient equations, as well as on-line literature.

Until next time: HAPPY/SAFE SHOOTING!
