Hi Steve,

I recently bought a Lab Radar. I've got the "air gun stuff" for it along with the latest firmware update and still can't get it to work. Maybe something in settings? I was under the impression the microphone had to be right next to the muzzle, it looks like yours is way out in front of the muzzle?

Thanks, Gary

Hi Gary.

Ignore the included instructions on mic placement... the sound blast in an airgun through a moderator or shroud tends to come out like a laser beam or garden hose set to steam. Place the mic 6-12 inches in front of the muzzle and offset it just an inch or so. Set the Labradar to "12 inches." Aim the head of the mic towards the muzzle. That will fix you up.

Beautiful looking gun! I've been looking for the review daily, any idea how much longer? Vlog was informative .

Probably today or tomorrow. It's up to Michael... video is ready to go! 😊

Steve

I'm anxious too, just wanna make sure we've got everything in place to block that Chinese spambot that's been very active the last few days.

I was hoping the regulated S510 would have ES numbers in the single digits or at least the low teen's. So far the early testing has them between 20 and 40 ES. Has anyone tested guns from the newer shipments. I was hoping they would make something that would out shoot my FX. I love the stock, I love the design but if it is not a match winner what is the point?

The one I reviewed ran about a 12 es so long as I stayed on the reg... push it out to 35 shots though and it'll open up to 20 ish. Keep it to 33-34 and youll be closer to a 10 es. Even then, it doesnt really matter. In my experience, anything less than a 25 es won't alter POI out to 100.

Plenty of reading for ya sticked to help answer you question.

Best, Steve

Very nice wood on the airgun for sure. I could not help but notice a lot of rough finish items in the close-ups (Behind the Power Adjuster and Trigger Guard finishes). It this price point, it appears the laminate is receiving the lion's share of the love. Amazing presentation of the data, images and demonstrating the air rifle Steve, top notch as always. This just does not call to me but that's ok, my obsession requires a break anyway 😂
