I've narrowed the choice for my 1st PCP down to either the FX Wildcat or this one; I was leaning FX, now I'm thinking Brocock again . . . definitely looking forward to the full review!

Thanks Steve, this is the review I've been waiting for! I'm just getting back into air gunning after a ten year hiatus and want to move up from my old (circa 2004) AirForce Talon. I've been waffling between the Sniper Magnum, the FX Wildcat and the FX Crown. The Crown is great, but a bit bigger than I want to carry around and the Wildcat isn't the most user friendly for a lefty. The Sniper Magnum seemed to fit the bill but being new, there wasn't much review material on it. And now, your very positive review. Hoo doggie!!!

I'm looking to buy a new pcp for hunting small game . I like the Brocock Bantam Sniper HP but I also like the new Wildcat MKII 700mm so I will keep saving my money till fall and keep watching these good reviews.

are we seeing a move back to .22?.
are longer guns (barrels) also in vogue, and is this due to what is needed for slugs?.

.22 is a great all around caliber. Cheap, readily available, & the 25g redesigns perform very good at distance.
The longer the barrel the easier it is for the air rifle to produce more energy.

As a person who lives just north of you in LOL, I can personally attest to the heat you are dealing with. But more importantly, I have watched you from the beginning and it's great to see your passion for this sport has not waned one iota. Thank you for what you do for the community.

Steve , I’m just as excited as you about the Bantam. I was Recently at aoa and personally got to hold the bantam so ergonomic and comfy. One day I will own one. Very very nice. Also thank you for everything you do. When it comes to reviews your number one.

I’ve got one. Great gun but it is fairly long and heavy. Not something I would walk hunt with.
I was going to buy a red wolf hp this gun probably just as good less money. Trigger not as light as the RW but probably could be adjusted
