I've had the steir new gas spring in synthetic stock .22 on order from last december 2018 seeing this rifle I know I WANT THIS ONE 800 fps accurate beautiful wood and bluing, recessed muzzle and under level cocking

They are a fabulous springer but personally I shoot the tx200 better, the extra weight seems to help.

There is one rifle in my gun locker that, for sure, is gonna be there as long as I live: my Prosport 5.5 in walnut stock. It´s a beauty and definitely a tack driver.

Just to emphasize what a few others have said: it's a wonderful rifle to work on. It's great out of the box, but tuning it down is actually a lot of fun, and requires very few tools. I tuned mine down to about 12.5 with a 4600 spring (I think that's the number) from ARH, and some custom made delrin top hats and washers. Someone mentioned the need for a thread on the end of the barrel for a moderator. I agree--no reason for AA not to do that. In the meantime, though, you can get N. Clague to make a moderator that will slide over the barrel. Mine works like a charm, and makes the PS very backyard friendly. Great review of great rifle.

Steve I watch your videos religiously and I can honestly say the ProSport is one of the best looking guns I've have seen! I saw one at a local Air Gun store here in So. California and then, your video came out! What a coincidence! I am leaning towards buying a ProSport unless I can win one!!

The ProSport and TX200 were my dream springers before I got into PCPs. I still want to own one though. Maybe one day.

I thought the same thing until i decided to rotate the barrel a tad bit. It fixed the accuracy issue that i was having.
