Storing with some pressure is the wisest course of action imo. Gassing and degassing moves the orings too much and orings oxidize, and saturate with gas. High pressure air has more oxygen in it by density. Storing it below reg pressure is fine for safety, just don't shoot it because aea has a really bad reputation with me because of their valve pins. You don't want so send that poppet too far out.
Every time you change pressure that significantly the orings move and wear in tiny ways, and aeas machine work while not terrible, isn't great...... I own a different model.
