AEA AEA Threaded fill probe and Femal Foster Fitting compatibility

I am having some issues with my Fill Probe. Seems most of my Female Foster fittings are not compatible with the fill probe male end. Most leak when connected (i.e. don't form a proper seal) I have one that works for now, but need to get a couple more.

Anyone else have this issue ir can recommend where to get proper female quick disconnect fittings that are compatible with the AEA male end.

I have read a few posts suggesting there are several "standards" or lack there of so not all fittings are compatible with others. Very frustrating.

Mike,

Just a suggestion based on my experience. I was in the habit of using a -010 O-ring in the female connector of my various fill whips. Every once in a while a gun would come along that would not fill properly with a particular fill whip.
Suspected the female connector was dimensioned slightly larger so I swapped the -010 to a metric M2 x 6 and that worked. Its cross section is about 10 thousandths larger.

If your probe is the one with threads, they do work and your female foster oring is probably tired. I just turned the threads off an 8mm probe for a buddy whose gun I bottle converted. So they should be good, but it's a Chinese gun and chinese parts, tolerances could be off. I won't ignore the fact that they often just ship whatever they made. I turned the threads off for my probe too (should be the same stuff) and it seals fine.

If only fosters were truly standardized! Different manufacturers seem to apply different tolerances. Sometimes it's the o-ring, sometimes it's the way the fosters seal (or won't seal). I have a zip lock bag full of all kinds of fosters & o-rings for those occasions. I can always get SOMETHING to work.
Where exactly is yours leaking from? Threads? Foster fitting?
