Any left handed shooters own an AEA carbine? Any problem with discharged cycling gas or "saftey" issues?

My south-paw son shoots my .22 HP Carbine when he comes up, he's never said anything.

I shoot my carbine left handed. I manipulate the safety with my left thumb without a problem. Not much blowback with the carbine but my Terminator does blow back some. I think you would feel it right handed also. The Terminator safety is different from the carbine but you can switch it for left handed use.
