Hey, just curious about the conversion process from semi- to bolt-action, I've read it's as simple as blocking off the front ports. Has anyone tested the velocity for the conversion? Is there a way to change the charging handle on the semi- to a larger one similar to the bolt-action?

Saw a video where 3D printed plugs were inserted into the front ports to tune the gas flow - curious if blocking them all off will prevent function w/o being too difficult to take apart. Hoping to decrease the amount of air used.

It’s not quite that simple but not hard to do. The rod needs to be removed to allow the bolt handle to rotate to lock. Takes a little time because the barrel has to be removed to be able to unscrew the rod.
Oh, and the hole the rod runs through needs to be plugged to keep air from the shroud from blowing back.

Blocking the ports is easily accomplished by inserting spent .22lr casings into the holes and tune from there.

Has anyone tried inserting a block into the bolt slide to keep it from moving/cycling? Granted, it would be a pain to pull the block and put it back in between each shot but it would make it single shot without taking the gun apart or altering it from semiautomatic. I've been thinking about this for awhile but have not gotten around to trying it yet.
