Greetings from a new member of the forum. recently purchased an HP Max in 45. cal. Had my eyes on this gun for a while. I own serval other PCP rifles, but none of them require me to fight the bolt to insert the magazine. After doing some investigating, I see where they are coming out with device (for purchase) that will hold the bolt open. I contacted the vendor who had their tech expert try and resolve the issue, to no avail. It just takes extra effort to hold the bolt and insert the magazine. Any others with this problem?

Welcome to the forum. Mine is the same, my m50 is the same too. The armada rifles do the same as well so I never gave it a second thought. I seat the butt into my shoulder and hold it open and with my left hand reach over and insert it. Hope this helps.

I seat the base of the stock. Push the bolt open with my right hand. Reach around the rifle with my left and slide the magazine in. Even with the barrel snug up against the magazine. I have no problems.
