AEA HP Carbine Bottle Swap?

yes i have the 1st gen HPSS semi auto & it is heavy , but easier to cock than the 22 hpss plus , that has a Tube (i think) & it is really hard to cock, i PREFER the older one, but it has a 500cc tank , would love to make it lighter
From the same eBay seller I mentioned above just bought two more of the 13ci carbon fiber bottles. So that makes four total I have bought from that seller. The two are my AEA SS .30 cal. air pistol, and separately my Pepperball VKS that I am converting to a smallish SMG (submachine gun).

He does have listed the one on my Carbine, seen in the pics I posted. Price lowered $10.

Cheap-O reg and plenum adapter on my Varmint, had it on my HP as well, worked fine.

eBay has the tank and reg for $130. https://www.ebay.com/itm/314210407633

I very new to the aea guns and pcp..I like this set up..can you fill from the new reg you added.is there any adjustments that can be made to the reg does it effect the gun…were did you get the plenum adaptor
The regulator has belleville washers inside of it, the order of the washers increases or decreases the reg settings, youtube has some good videos but I just added two washers to a 6 washer stack and went from 2200 to 2800 psi.

"Does it affect the gun." is a good question but and easy one answer. No, the gun probably has a 'sweet spot' for pressure, mine is 2800 psi, the tank can take a 4500 psi fill but it only gives the gun 2800 psi all the time until it runs under 2800 psi.

Yes, you fill the bottle at the regulator, DO NOT FILL THE GUN !!!!

another question are you able to remove bottle with out loosing all the air..regulator should hold air in tank correct? Actually making it easier to degas the gun Insted of removing the gauge.
And thank you for all the info I appreciate it

That's what they say BUT I can't untwist the reg from the adapter myself, just too much pressure. I dont mind degassing since I have a YH and a couple bottles. I feel safer too with no air. Afterall, you have to drain the bottle to remove the washers anyway.

What is yh..I just remember back in my paintball days we could remove ho tanks all the time, but then again we was not dealing with 2800psi output pressure also..we was filling to 4500 with a output of 300psi

Correct, that 28k binds the threads tight. Again, it may be done but there is a higher chance of thread shear at the point just before the valve shuts the pressure off before the tank is removed.
