AEA folding stock wiggle hack.

Putting a shim in the joint works, but gets a bit fiddly as you fold and unfold. So here is what I have done. Open the stock (fold), unscrew the lock pin from the knuckle base. I needed vice grips as it has thread locker on it. File the base of the pin on the thread side. I used a hook file. If you file off too much, just set it to the depth that is what you want with a bit of blue thread . Bill and Addi

A little heat and it unscrews easily. All 3 of mine only needed to be tightened once the loctite loosened up. They must have screwed them in snug then backed em out a bit on mine.

@oregondude Where exactly is the stock wiggling? I’m not familiar with this rifle, but I have a similar issue with a another gun. Can you draw an arrow pointing to exactly where the source of the problem is on your rifle? I’m looking at your photo and I don’t quite understand what you’re shimming.

He is not shimming he is decreasing the overall length of the catch. The second picture shows the catch in the jaws of a vise grip with the catch set at a certain height. oregondude is then filing around the catch to allow him to screw the catch in further.
