AEA Challenger bullpup

I saw the element it's a really nice looking rifle for sure and accuracy is supposed to be amazing. I might get the HP varent next. I want to see if I can get this challenger to shoot everything from pellets to slugs. If it does then I'll look at other AEA rifles.

My carnivore is a pellet only rifle and I'm not excited about that so it's about to get a poop ton of mods to get more power and hopefully slug friendly.

AEA power adjuster. Just what I thought it would be. Very simple but affective

Thank you for the pic @albee, looks like turning that power adjuster in either direction will have the same effect. Did you get inside the tube on the valve side? Curious to see what it looks like to determine if a regulator will work.

Ok so I am confident in the new baffles that I have created and also the depinger that I have made.

The depinger is one that I can easily change size on for any rifle that uses a tube and not a bottle. Here is a picture.

The baffles I have them made for my .22 Challenger but I can make them for a .25 and possibly the .30 challenger also. I just need measurements from someone with a .25 or .30 to confirm the shroud is the same size. They definitely help. I have done 3 separate tests now and the average shows a 15db loss compared to the stock baffles which only reduce by 9-10db Basically I replaced the stock 5 metal baffles for 10 3d printed plastic baffles with this shape.

Finally here is a sneak peak at what I designed for the barrel and shroud. I wanted to have something that snapped on the exposed barrel sections to help it look more uniform along the length, but I designed to try and make it a two piece setup so I can put some color on it. The shroud cover will match the green part in the design so the black shroud can show through and it will just slide on with 3 parts. Ill be doing a test print tonight to test fit and finish.

@bluemoon_wulf and @decobra1

I am thinking $15 for the depinger and $15 for the baffles but if you buy them both together I only need to do one shipping so $25 for both together. Those prices will cover my cost to make and ship and put a couple bucks in my pocket towards pellets.. lol

@bluemoon_wulf can you measure a baffle from your challenger and post the width and length and how many are in it?

Man I came home after a nice weekend away with the wife and got hit with this stupid PG&E power shut off. Been on generator for almost 3 day. Finally got power back on last night so Im trying to get some of these designs finalized so I can offer everything at the same time.

Im interested in you opinions on this? These are just the simple ones, not the detailed ones that are going to be two colors. I figured people might want this just to help make it look for stream lined. They serve no purpose other then purely cosmetic.

As I get the other one figured out and printed Ill show off pictures then Ill put together pricing.

hey Albee,

i agree it looks better with that cover. equal look to a full shroud. i personally wont need, since weight is a concern. i may possibly carve the stock a 2nd smaller hole.

as for that abs/material, is it possible to lightly sand/buff to make it matte? that would make it more shroudlike, for those who dont do the 2 tone you are working on..

i look forward to those baffles and pinger.

The weight for these is just 2.25oz and I'm using a material that is more durable than abs and it's more flexible also. It can be sanded and painted or hydro dipped or even wrapped with a vinyl wrap.

This is definitely aimed at people that just want that shrouded look and want to keep it simple.

I'm going to try to get the baffles and depingers done this weekend as long as the don't shut off power again.

Teddy,. I don't know. But if you email either bin or Zach thru their sites they will answer you. Even if they don't know dimensions. Both have replied to questions pretty promptly.

As far as a leak, if you mean a puff of air by your face with each shot, don't think that's a leak. Then again, maybe I didn't know I had a leak from day one. Hmm. For the fellow aea owners to confirm.
