AEA Aea challanger pro

Hello im new here on air nation. I've got a aea challenger pro. I've been trying to tune the pcp to shoot the 30.2 aea long range master slug from aea. I cant get a good grouping at 30yards. 🤷‍♂️. I've runs them at anything between from 900 to 1000 fps. And cant seem to get them right. In getting about 2 to 2½ inch grouping at 30yards
The slugs may not be the right choice for your challenger pro barrel. What about if you try 880fps? Does accuracy improve?Try loading one slug in the barrel by hand. Does it feel loose? If you hold the rifle vertical does the slug fall out of the barrel.

Im having trouble with my .30 cal karma shooting 52.2 gr aea master slugs fast. They work OK between 880-910, but if I turn it up they get worse. I recently had to purchase .303 nsa slugs because my barrel is oversized. If I slide a master slug in the barrel by hand and lift the rifle upright it falls back out.

Have you cleaned your barrel yet? With ballistol and patches. It could be dirty.

I've cleaned the barrel. I haven't done the slug testing you mentioned, but I will definitely do that method. I also ran the aea 30.2 slug on my aea hp standard custom. I was pushing 850 and it was a straight laser beaming. My thought was maybe those slug likes the 850ish range 🤷‍♂️. Or maybe the aea challenger pro just not liking those 30.2 grains at higher speed. Ill do more testing and drop it down below 900fps and see what my outcome are. Or try different slugs on the challanger and see what it likes

Definitely check the diameter of the slug and see how it fits, that could be the issue.

Another thing to consider, the tune could be wrong. Do you have a gen 1 or a gen 2 challenger? If you have the 1st gen you most likely have the heavy hammer spring installed from the factory. You may need to try a heavier slug to match with the heavy hammer spring. Or you could try installing the light hammer spring to use the 30gr slugs.

I have the first gen challenger. Ill do some swaping around and find out. I also didnt mention, it does really good with jsb king jumbo mk2 33.95 grain. Its just my first time shooting slugs.
