AEA .30 cal w/ 32” Barrel Questions

Looking at slugs, wondering what you all have had luck with? I see different types available. Cup base. Bowl base. Boat tail base. Anyone have suggestions for the type of base? Weights?

I’m mainly going to be plinking with it but I want to take it out hunting as well. Im hoping to find a slug that provides the best accuracy, one that has the most velocity and also one for the most power. I know this will take a lot of experimentation but looking for some good ones to start with.

Also did anyone experiment with fill amounts? What works best? I believe they just rose the limit to 4500psi and now include a heavier hammer spring?

Thanks!

all good questions and I do not have many answers sorry, but I can tell you what I have already tried.

so the barrel is pretty large on the Airgun average? I have been told .303? I do know that regular.300 slugs barely touch and are simply way too loose? I did notice NSA just started making 47.2 grn .303 slugs, I would really start there? The other sizes from 43-65 didn’t go well for me.
on the fill, they are over sprung, so your first shot will be your highest and you will come down from there, I have been starting at 3600 psi but I do believe you can go to 4500, that’s a pain though. Good luck! I haven’t had much.
