Advise and recommendations?

I’ve been kicking around the idea of getting a 22 break barrel for some backyard plinking. 


After looking at the local ads I see a Diana 48 side lever for sale for $275. 
For you folks in the know, is this a decent gun for that price?

Being in the mid $400 area new I would guess it is an alright price for a used one in good werqing order. Saw a used one for $345 somewhere so it is a decent enough deal.

Guess I should have said a bit more since I am a fan of the Diana airguns. I sold my 52, just a 48 with a fancier stock, for about that price because I got a 54 which I love. These are great accurate and powerful guns for the money even when paying full price cuz they are new.

Yes - I own one in .177 that I have tuned- great rifle for that money

The Diana 48 in .22 was my first pellet rifle, I always had good luck with it, I bought it used for $300, used it for a year then sold it for $300. That was about 2 yrs ago, Hope this helps. Good luck

I owned a Model 52 also in .177. It was a good, dependable, accurate gun. Stock is the only difference from the 48.

Excellent rifle. I did not like the weight or the heavy recoil. I now have a Beeman R9 (HW95 equivalent).
