Advice Needed

So i have my new pcp coming this week and I need and optic on top, I liked the discovery scopes but have had issues on 2 separate occasions with 2 different scopes. So I was going to go with the vortex diamondback because of the no questions asked lifetime warranty but it lacks the lighted reticle. Next on the list is the athlon argos btr 6-24x50 also a good choice lifetime warranty but not as bullet proof as vortex but does have a lighted reticle and both the vortex and the athlon are FFP. Am I going crazy should I just be getting a second focal plane scope for $100-$150 my shots will be at 100 yards and under shooting a .25 pcp. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The Argos or the Diamondback are both great scopes for the money I own both. If you are hunting the 1 st focal plane scopes are best in my opinion because holdovers are the same regardless of magnification.

If you mostly target shoot a second focal plane scope is best because the reticle stays the same size regardless of magnification.

If you want to save money buy one used in classified section. You can get a great scope at a great price.

Hope this helps MM
