Advice for a cracked stock

I just received my first ever springer in the mail (Hatsan Torpedo 100X .22) and it has a 15 mm crack in the stock on the back end of the gas spring housing. Because of the location I am concerned that the crack would grow over time. This being my first springer, I am looking for advice on whether this will be a problem and I should return the rifle, or if it will merely be cosmetic and not get worse over time. Pictures are attached, Thank you.

There's a 22 Xiscio XS46U very much similar to your HATSAN that can save you $100.00 (compared to what you paid for that broken Hatsan) and that XISCIO is already tuned and selling for only $185.00 SHIPPED. I bought from him before and is a trusted seller in my book. It's just too LOUD for him to shoot it in his back yard. That's the only reason he is selling it for his loss. You would pay $190 or $255.00 plus shipping depending on the tune to duplicate it. You may even have an easier time cocking the Xiscio too in comparison to that broken HATSAN. Yo!
