Ok. After removing (or loosening) the locking ring. Suppose it focuses at 11 yards but not 10 , and i want it to focus at 10 yards do I screw the lens in or out?

Are you talking about the eye piece? If so that adjustment is just to focus if you need reading glasses

What model scope do you have? I’m not familiar with any parallax adjustment other than the left side opposite the windage adjustment scopes without that adjustment the parallax is preset at the factory

The reply you got from Davecole looks like a solution that may work I can tell you I’ve never done it and this is the first time I’ve seen this possible solution. Being that you can let the gas out of your scope that keeps it from fogging up if you unscrew it too much is a decision you’ll have to decide on most Nikki sterling scopes are not that expensive so it may not be worth it to fix if you mess it up

I tend to use automotive pinstripe tape, and make my own values, which are accurately determined at a marked rifle range. I don't sweat what was stamped on the wheel.
