I get my air tank filled at a local paintball store. I asked if they have a moisture filter on their system and they do know they have filters but are not sure about a moisture filter. Should I add an additional moisture filter between my tank and my gun? If so are there are recommendations.

Paintball store often fill with nitrogen and so there would not be a problem there. If they have their own compressor I would guess that they would take good care of it with all of the guns they sell. So, you should be good to go. If you have questions about filtering ask the owner of the shop I am sure he could fill you in.

If they can't guarantee their air is dry, don't use them. You don't want moisture in your tank. I'm confident that they will be using a commercial type of compressor that should supply well filtered and separated air. Using a filter between your tank and gun is not necessary. The only way that liquid from bad air in a tank to pass into another tank would be if that bottle was turned upside down when filling and then only if the valve's snorkel was removed.
