*** ADAPTER for Magnetic bore sighter***

 Don't know if this adaption has been mentioned in the past? I have a couple laser bore sighters from powder burning days, just will not work as the 1/2"X20 adapters are not steel that I have. Went to local hardware store purchased a 1/2"X20 NUT problem solved, now lasers will self center and are usable on the air guns.

Yes, already went this route awhile back for my Wheeler bore sighter, but used a flanged nut. It wasn’t till recently I had a machinist machine me a steel threaded bushing, like the thread protectors that come on the shrouds, to replace the nut instead. I wanted more surface area for the magnet to stick to.

I use the same "Sight Mark" laser.

All of my guns are of the shorter variety, so I just hold the pointer square to the barrel with my hand. Then I rotate 90°, then rotate 90° again to verify center. Hasn't failed me yet.

BUT...that's a good idea ! Just need to make sure that the spring loaded center is centering in the barrel, and not the nut.
