Huben About to order a Huben GK1 V3 in .25

I love my Huben K1 Walnut in .25. I have been contemplating getting the GK1 V3 in the same caliber, .25. It would be the standard version on which I'd mount a red or green dot.

I've been trying to talk myself out of it. I don't expect to get any help with that from here.

I am enthralled with the accuracy and power of the GK1 I've witnessed through YouTube videos. That fellow on the "airgun channel" is very compelling as are others.

I'm thinking I would take it along on some of my archery deer hunts (in blind) and bag a squirrel or two to eat. I would also plink with it outdoors and maybe in my basement in the winter.

KRAZYCOOL will be my preferred vendor because of the fantastic support and service he provided when I bought the K1.

Id go with 22. Can use their 33gr peanut slugs if you need more powah. Now I want to try the 177.

i had a 2018 synthetic k1 that i traded back to kelly for a 2024 walnut on. The carbon fiber and wood stock make it significantly lighter, and looks better! Kelly gave me $1500 for the trade in....I think that was a better deal, and immediate, than I would have gotten trying classifieds.
Just note some of the after market loading gates don't fit the wood stocks....i had to trim mine a little bi.t with a heat knife.

I imagine GK1 was tuned for 177. The lowest power i bet would be usable at 177 but is not .22+. For stealth with moderator, shot count and cost 177 wins. .22 seems to be able to do .25 powers, so unless youre hunting big stuff I dont see the appeal of 25.

In any case, the only diff is the barrel and magazine and you can get both for like $500 to change calibers.

each caliber's peak efficiency is at different power level. so the .25 shoots higher power more efficiently then the .22 with the same grains pellets/slugs. so the .25 would be able to do 20 shots at 60fpe with 33grains for example while the .22 can only shoot 12 shots at 60fpe with 33grainers(this is not accurate numbers, just an example.)

yeah, i learned about that one when i saw 12 ft/lbs pcps in .22 with a higher shot count than the .177....more surface to push again makes it more efficient at the same power level.
