Don't buy an Alpha6 if it's too cheap 4u. GO Buy the NEW HAWKE FRONTIER. JUST DONT EVER LOOK THROUGH AN ALPHA6 AFTER BUYING THE OTHER MORE EXPENSIVE "ANY OTHER" SCOPE... INCLUDING THE NEW HAWKE FRONTIER.

Seems ok. Crosshairs are too small for me.

agree, crosshairs are small. One of the reasons I bought a SFP scope was to see crosshairs easier at low mag.

The Alpha 6 is, ideally, set up for target shooting. You need the bullseye to be dissected by the crosshairs without the reticle obscuring the very small target. This is accomplished with fine to very fine crosshairs. A thicker reticle is more suited to hunting as is FFP.

The problem with the Crimson Trace 3 series at Midway is they ran out of the only one I was considering the CTL-3525 34mm. The MR1-MIL reticle is very doable for me and similar to the Alpha 6. I don't like that it is 34mm and 56mm or over 35 ounces. Midway is not even taking backorders so they are not confident on when or if they are getting stock. They are also not committing to a price by not taking backorders.

The 4x20x50 30mm CTL-3420 they have in stock for $450. It has the LR1-MIL reticle which is a fine detailed Christmas tree with nothing defined in bold and nothing at all in the entire top half of the reticle. It looks really disorientating to me. I do like it is 30mm, 50mm objective and 5 ounces lighter. This one is in stock at least but I just can't do this reticle.
