Short version: For all those who have participated (and I guess also to those that haven’t) in the 5 GP matches that have taken place so far in 2025, please contact the match directors and ask them to submit their course planners and results to AAFTA. There are no results posted on the AAFTA website due to these items having not been submitted through proper channels yet according to the response below.
Longer version: There has been talk amongst some of us near and far as to why after 5 GP events completed and 3 more taking place in the next few weeks that there has been no results posted on the AAFTA website. One of the constants has been, with the rules set forth and time expended to make a Grand Prix event happen, it seems results should be posted on the website within 2-3 weeks of the events completion. At a match this past weekend the topic was brought up yet again. I told one of the individuals to go ahead and send an email asking why the delay or if they didn’t want to, did he want me to. He said he’d gladly do it and below is an excerpt from his email and the response received from the BOG. We have seen the reports and results posted on the forums so we know they are completed and available.
Email that was sent:
“I’m reaching out in order to try to understand why there are no current season Grand Prix results posted yet. We are already 5 Grand Prix’s into the current season and yet no results. AAFTA places a lot of conditions on Clubs when it comes to hosting a Grand Prix. Time lines , course layouts, etc. etc.
Not posting current season results is not only a disservice to the competitors, but the community as a whole. Frankly it’s down right unacceptable, especially considering what clubs and Match Directors have to go through. If Match Directors need to submit match results within a certain timeframe then you (AAFTA) should post those results in a timely and expedient fashion as well. …..”
Response received:
