AAA 22 HPS question

From my experience with high end pcp barrels that are unchoked, they do usually shoot pellets well but you may have to test several brands and weights to find that one brand that does shoot exceptionally well. While I don't have this specific Evol .22 HPS, I do have a couple AAA models of airgun. The quality of barrel and time put into building them is top shelf craftsmanship. I would not hesitate to buy one of these and shoot both pellets and slugs, even if it took a little testing to find the most accurate pellet.

It has been my experience that 25.4 grain pellets shoot exceptionally well. I use the FX branded pellets because they were available when I bought some, but the JSB redesigns (which are virtually identical to their FX counterparts) work also.

Personally, I’m far more interested in shooting pellets anyway, so it worked out great.

Now granted, I usually shoot between 30 yards and 50 meters, and have not yet tried 100 yards, but I’ve been happy with pellets so far.

Stay with the heavier pellets and you’ll do just fine.
