Aa s500 xtra 15gr nsa!

Well that was easy! No target pics sorry but Im going to shoot again this afternoon. I picked up a new AA S500 xtra fac and some nsa 15gr .177 slugs. Gun is untouched other that cleaned the bore. 10 shots under 5/8” at 80 yards. Avg 835 fps. At 35 yards they were better than pellets. Pretty much a single hole measuring less than a 1/4” from the OUTSIDE edge. What a great combo!

For the tuners out there....this would not be a hard gun to modify for 35fpe in 177 if you got the balls to do it. However, 22-23fpe with that accuracy I think id leave it alone. At 80 yards its got more energy than most piston guns at the muzzle. Porting is pretty tiny, probe is bigger than my 30 slug shooters, low reg pressure, etc. Id also like to add the 12.5gr nsa came in at 895-899fps but werent quite as accurate. About 1.1” at 80 yards. Still great though! One feature I like is the power adjuster. In .177 it drops to 4fpe and is great to adjust the trigger it uses almost no air. Ive been shooting on low power all morning with hobby pellets for more trigger time with the gun. So as of now, I highly reccomend this gun for anyone who wants a little .177

Thats a winner! I tried 12.5s in my gun but may have to give the 15s a go. I love being able to detune my guns. My HP 177 is not easily detuned, so I don't shoot it a whole lot. I didn't even know those guns had power adjusters.... You think maybe the fat probe plays a role in flattening the power curve? Assuming unregged

Its factory regulated. Does a decent job. It started getting swirling winds 8-10mph it was all over after that at 80 yards lol.

Nice gun- Love Air Arms accuracy. I have older 410 EXTRA FAC in .22- it’s my main hunting gun. I had never shot any slugs out of any of my airguns. You got me thinking I should try some in some of my rifles. Thanks for the updates on you progress with the slugs.
