Hey gang,
Early in 2020, I purchased a new Red Wolf Safari .25 caliber from AoA. I love this rifle and had probably shot it about a dozen or more times at my local outdoor 100 yard range.
Early on, I noticed that I was not getting the accuracy I thought I should be achieving, and had discussed some of my concerns with various knowledgeable RW AGN forum owners. I pretty much shoot only 100 yard bench rest at paper targets with the rifle and participate in the various virtual challenges; 100 yard EBR Target, 75 yard EBR target, and also the NUAH monthly 100 yard target challenge over on the GTA forum. For me, this was a big purchase and I wanted to make sure the gun was very accurate.
About 2 or 3 months after using the rifle and trying everything folks suggested to improve my accuracy, I decided to reach out to AoA and see if they could assist. Rob Buchanan, one of the owners, PM'd me after a request for assistance and told me "they (AoA) would sort me out." I had previously purchased my Daystate Regal XL .22, Omega 74 cu foot air tank, ammo, and a bunch of other stuff from AoA so I had good experience with them as a dealer.
I sent my rife back to AoA and unfortunately UPS dropped the box ( gun inside) off one of their conveyors and while there was significant damage to the box, AoA carefully inspected my gun thoroughly, and the threaded muzzle cap was the only thing damaged. The stock, action, et. al. was all OK and in tact. I got lucky here, and I did not want to file a claim with UPS and go through the long claim/refund process. Luckily, I had it insured for $2500 but because the damage was minimal, I did not have to go that route!
After shooting the gun and testing the existing .25 barrel, they did agree that it was not as accurate as it should be. They swapped out my .25 ART barrel ( on my request ) for a .22 ART barrel - at NO CHARGE. The gun has a 5-year warranty, but I had not realized that they would allow me to swap my .25 barrel and pellet probe for a new .22 ART barrel and pellet probe. Not only that, but they (Steve Buchanan ) replaced all the existing O-rings with the Viton 75 O rings. While the rifle was still at AoA, they tested it with the new .22 barrel at 50 and 100 yards, but Steve called me to tell me they were still not satisfied with the accuracy. Steve asked me if it was OK if they kept the rifle a bit longer to have one of their ART team testers ( Bobby C ) who is extremely knowledgeable on RWs, to test and shoot the gun at his home range.
Bob called me a number of times to exchange background information, ask questions and guide me through the testing process for what he wanted to do. He also added some additional touches; all of which was to help make sure that "I had a very accurate gun and barrel when it eventually was returned to me."
Honestly, AoA ( Steve, Rob, and Bobby and others.....) went above and beyond what I expected and for that I am very appreciative. In a world where there are many dealers and choices in a very competitive air gun market, I am really impressed with the support AoA provided to me.
Again - Thanks to all at AoA for your great support!
