O boy did i do it. I knew the next step after getting used to this rifle i had to mount a scope and test it out. So today I checked it's screws and shot a few more times open sighted only to realize my eyes just can't do it anymore at 20 yards let alone 30 or more.
I thought to grab the Beeman fixed 4X for $29.95 that I've had for four years and it works. But in the search for the Beeman I found the Swarovski 3-9X Z3 with a solid three screw rail mount atop the HW50S .20 (either one!). I picked the newer one and attached the solid rail mount which clear above the open sights and then once I was shooting knotholes out of wood fences I went for 35 yards at 5X and now is the time to realize the rifle is better than what I said open sighted.
The scope and the rifle are together shooting precision at 20 to 35 yards and my eyes can now see why I had misses in the OPEN SIGHTS!
I can't use open sights anymore even at 25 yards!
